I mainly take photos as a way to help me remember people, places, things, and times in my life. Any artistic merit is purely accidental.

Other stuff... I like music, cooking, and making and drinking beer (also see below). I also like traveling (especially when combined with beer events!), though kids and budget make it less seldom than optimal. Some places I'd like to get to or back to: Kauai, Manchester (England), Cornwall, Wales, Belgium, northern California, the Caribbean, northern New England, Colorado, New Mexico, Germany... und so weiter.



I'm a closet ticker:

I've set foot in 35 of the 50 United States (but only 4.5 countries), having lived in 5 of them.



On a curmudgeony note, I'm not into the kind of mutual ego-stroking thing that sites like ePinions have turned into, so if I "favorited" one of your photos it simply means I happened upon it and liked it. Don't feel compelled to reciprocate.
