This Flickr account is a portfolio of some of my work and I really hope you like what you see. I got interested in photography when I was a child. I still have and occasionally use the very first camera that I ever owned. My mother gave it to me along with a roll of film when I was about 8 years old (more than 35 years ago). When I hit my "sophisticated" teen-age years I lost my interest in photography (amongst a lot of other things) and in a sense I lost my vision - not that I went blind but in a sense I was. I went for a long time without being able to "see", I had no "perspective" and more importantly, no "introspection"...

Going through life for a while lacking any sense of "vision" I found myself in need of change and so a little over 21 years ago I started changing and since then I find myself continuing that process. I am now "seeing" again so to say and it is amazing. The world is so full of beautiful and amazing things.

A few years ago I picked up the camera again and discovered that photography involves way more than a camera, a set of eyes or a model and a setting. My eyes like my camera merely capture light. What I want to achieve has more to do with what I feel... I like photos that move me - emotionally. I think that perspective involves more than a camera angle and lens and depth isn't a matter of measurement ... I appreciate the artistic end of photography. I enjoy trying to find and see beauty in things that surround us all the time.

There may be periods where I don't post any photos or comments or anything here. Most likely that's because I am busy getting caught up in life but trust me, I'll have my camera with me at those times and I'll bring some of what I see back here...
