I'm only a hobbyist photographer, but I like to think I'm halfway decent at it. I don't believe in fancy equipment (at least in part because I'm poor). My camera is just a cheap little super zoom, a Panasonic DMC-FZ8, but it's got a mean little lens on it. It'll do the 35mm equivalent of 36-436mm, f2.8-3.2 with a very capable macro mode. For those of you who are pixel-counters it's 7.2 megapixel. I don't have any crazy external flashes or reflectors, or even a decent tripod. I have a wobbly aluminum tripod that weighs a ton and has instructions on it written in German. It gets the job done though.

Soon though, I should be taking a step up in the world. I'm about to get my first DSLR, a hand-me-down D40.
