Jennifer Jansen recently found a new love for Mixed Media Art again. Thanks to Artist Trading Cards, she started making Artist Trading Cards in January 2009. Making Trading Cards kept her mind off of her illness Ulcerative Colitis. After months of trading cards she found that she enjoys making Domino Jewelry Altered Art. She has also made some of her favorite Artist trading Cards in a larger format on canvas to hang in her house. Her recent works are up cycled hair barrettes made out of recycled cardboard, magazines, and photo’s she has taken.
Most of the materials she uses in her art work is Recycled or upcycled thing that some people disregard as trash.
She also loves to travel to beach locations. Places she has visited Belize, California, Maui.
Some of her work is inspired by these destinations.
Volunteers at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. Enjoys taking photo’s there to create art work with the photos that she takes.
