I hope to capture the essence of things with the camera and lens. I try to present reality with a little enhancement when warranted, but no trickery. I also image things that I enjoy. I hope you enjoy them also. My style includes discussing aspects of taking or processing the images you see. By sharing I hope to stimulate discussion and learn something along the way.

I collect hobbies for a hobby. There are a few that I really enjoy - Photography, Astronomy, Radio Control Aircraft, Writing Computer Software, & Roller Coasters.

Having a Ph. D. in Astrophysical, Planetary & Atmospheric Sciences, I really enjoy Astrophotography. I have a broad background in both theory and hardware. Some of the stuff you might find in my photostream will be technical stuff that only 1% of my visitors will appreciate. My other hobbies are photography, radio control aircraft, HO trains, 1/72nd scale aircraft modeling, Sci Fi, Architectural design, & cats.
