I'm retired from the environmental /civil design, construction fields and pollution abatement and remediation and construction fields after 30 years.

I have been involved heavily in photography for over 35 years now. I had my own wet processing lab in which I made 30x40 B&W sepia toned Florida landscape images. I also processed color prints up to 20x24. Many of my framed prints are displayed in the corporate areas as well as the private sector. One of my favorite images is of the space shuttle Challenger at its first dawn launch made with remote cameras near the launch pad. farm1.static.flickr.com/77/186002143_df0a6ee0a1_o.jpg
A framed 16x20 print is displayed in the press core room at Cape Kennedy.

After many years of large format B&W film photography, I now enjoy the realm of digital photography using Canon 10, 30D IR converted, 5D Mark II and the 7D DSLR cameras and Canon "L" lenses. My current projects are in producing digital slide programs set to nature music. My programs are for presentations to other camera clubs and special interest groups around the state of Florida, and in my "Florida Photographic Adventure Tours". I enjoy taking people out and helping them acquire photos they would be proud to display on their walls. I do photography workshops for small groups and 1 on 1 around my state and other areas of your interest.

Please visit my web site, www.JMWNaturesImages.com for full details and some of the images that I and my clients have made over the years.

Having been born and raised in South Florida, I still manage to find new and exciting places to photograph. One such place is called Blue Cypress Lake. This is a photographers dream location for sure. The large Bald Cypress tress line the perimeter of the lake, of which there is only one very small community located in the SW corner of this 6000+ acre lake…the remaining shoreline is undeveloped and unspoiled by man.

Joe and Jeanne Middleton, of Middleton’s fish camp is the only commercial venue. Joe takes people out onto the lake to see the morning’s sunrise and cruise the shoreline in a 24 ft. pontoon boat. During the spring, early February through the end of May, the Osprey arrives to build a rookery there amoung the bald cypress trees. For photographers, Joe will get you close enough for some very rewarding images of this beautiful bird.

Please visit my folder, ”Blue Cypress Lake” for more information on this lake and give Jeanne a call to book a 2-hour trip with Joe. You can view some of the images I made there last February of 2011.

I am now conducting one day photo tours on Blue Cypress Lake for small groups in my 17ft boat and for larger groups in a 24ft pontoon boat. I will also be holding 2-day photo workshops there.

Please forgive me,as I would like to be able to comment on each and every photo in my "Groups" and "Contacts" and list everyone as my contact, but time for me is dedicated to making images and producing digital programs. I will try to interact with all of you as time permits.

I have updated my Photostreams and added the National Parks and Monuments that I camped and photographed in for about 4 months back in 2002, as well as my winter workshop in Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP. My recent 2008, 35 day trip to Maine for moose and 3 National Parks and places of interest folders are also now included. There are some true life stories buried in those folders and on my web site, of things that happened to me on some of these trips..some humorous and some near tragedy.

I need to mention the fact that if I find anyone taking my images for their personal gain, either here at Flickr or a private web site without my permission, I will prosecute that individual to the maximum extent allowable by law. I really detest having to mention this but the problem of stealing photos here at Flickr is getting out of hand and needs to be stopped. BTW I do check periodically the sites of others here at Flickr for this problem.

I plan to expand my photo workshops outside of Florida. If you are interested in having me lead a photography workshop for you or a small group, contact me below. By visiting my many folders here at Flickr of areas around my home state but also other locations will give you and idea of the type of images that I can put in front of your camera.

After many years without a Blog and so many people asking about my blog, I finally decided I had better put together a blog. So if you wish to read it, you may go here:

We all have had humoureous events that occur in our lives and I guess I'm not stranger to them as well. I have compiled a few of them over the years and placed them on my web site: www.jmwnaturesimages.com/11934.html

If you or your camera club and or special interest group would like to have me come to one of your meetings, I would like to present a couple of my Digital Slide Shows set to nature music.

I now have assembled a another new aspect of my many years of photography in presenting an All Day Photography Seminar. Once again, if your or you know of a group that like to book me for this seminar, I have a PDF file of the seminar itinerary and I would work closely with whomever the host organization would be. I will 90% or the work for them. Contact me below for more information.
