I am an amateur photographer and I like my photographs to be as "natural" as possible. I develop from the Nikon raw digital NEF format towards JPEG and I correct, if necessary, exposure, sharpness, low light and I may re-frame. A bit as was done in the past with film.
I do not use Photoshop type effects.
My style is varied to the point that I do not have any... It is a beginner's shortcoming...

Current:
Nikon D700 (purchased March 2010)

"... well, I'm not used to write testimonials or something similar (I'm too lazy... ) but I MUST have to write something about Jean-Michel!

... I love his ArtWorks because they are always particular, seducing and unique. He usually don't make almost any kind of Post Processing to his shots but... this demonstrate that he has a very special eye to catch the beauty in everything he looks at...

... he makes snapshots (amazing, anyway... )? Apparently this can be true but, if you look at his stream with a plain eye, you will find something really different: the world's inner vision of an uncommon creative mind...

    ... he makes Art, finally!

    :)"

    写真の魅力を彼からは色んな面で学びました。
    このFlickrで趣味を共に楽しんでますが
    彼からの進めも幸いし、またこちらでは初心者の私を
    支えてくれながらと、とても嬉しい限りです。

"If you plan a walk through Jean-Michel's gallery, be sure to allow yourself enough time for a leisurely stroll. He will astound you with his astonishing images of his beautiful hometown, Paris. He lovingly documents the shops, museums, buildings and the amazing sites around his city as only a native Parisian can. JM's photo's not only exude the elegance for which Paris is known, but also its charm and humor. His beautiful photographs are richly composed to give you only a taste, but you long for more. Venez avec un bon appetit!

JM is generous to his fickr friends. His stream provides helpful tutorials and guides to making flickr a better experience. If you are fortunate to have JM comment on one of your photo's, he takes the time to dissect and critique your image with generous detail. His comments are a coveted prize in themselves!

Each photo is a treasured gem. Keep them coming, Jean-Michel!"

"Jean is like a spring wind, he goes blowing, sometimes, full of enthusiasm and he brings with him everythings that runs across and, then...it's very difficult to follow him!
Sometimes, instead, he is warm wind of South, that has stolen the colours of sun...
Sometimes he is a wizard and he gives life to its plastic queens in the shop windows in the bright world of Paris.
Last, but not least...Jean is my friend."

" I remember the first thing of his works that I saw a photo of an epicerie fine where I had been too, it was quite a long time ago, since then I was dropping into his photostream very often and always finding a lot of interesting snaps; he has a real collection of truly impressive images depicting not only what he sees, but how he sees it; photos with a good sense of lightning, compositionally STRONG, a PLEASURE to look at; he took me back to Paris for a journey, showed me some faces of Paris which I had tried to remove from my mind and made me "live" Paris again without being hurt by my memories; his Paris pics are filled with very good atmosphere; he's got a good eye and this rare ability to stop the moments in time; I love your latest photos of shops.
Last but not least, he is a citizen not only of Paris but of the world, I enjoy exchanging opinions about our life experiences abroad, travelling, fine food... KEEP THIS WONDERFUL WORK UP !!!!
La seule amitié qui vaille est celle qui naît sans raison...c''est une des raisons pour laquelle je te dis:

Merci de ton amitié et sensibilité"

"Jean-Michel is a prolific photographer whose intelligence and talent shines from every photograph. He has an uncanny eye for design and elegance, for pattern, dissymmetry, light and shade. He is not afraid of exploring the contentious or of opening up a topic for vigorous debate, in fact he encourages it. His photographs show us life on the streets of Paris as we have never seen it before and I, for one, am enjoying the trip immensely. Most of all though, JM is a master of manipulating light which he does with a hand-held camera using skillful settings. And if that were not enough he is charming, supportive and kind, the sum of which adds up to a most charismatic personality. Long may you continue to delight all of us with your unique, intelligent and compassionate perspective on life."

    "ABSOLUTELY STUNNING PHOTOS!

    WOW!

What fun it is to walk through the streets and to the fun events of jmvnoos' PARIS! So great at capturing the natural settings of various interesting places. The photos of the GUIMET MUSEE are museum quality surburb!

The SHOWROOM DUMMIES set is stunning! Probally the most difficult 'object' to photograph, jmvnoos does so with artistic ease!

MERCI jmvnoos for the wonderful walk down memory 'rue' of Paris!"
