Professional artist and art teacher who took a break from painting and picked up a camera. Started with a Nikon D40 and recently graduated to a D300s which I am still trying to learn as I go along.
I've started painting again, this time painting what makes me happy and what makes me most happy is birds, but any nature subjects I can get some good reference shots of are fair game for a canvas....maybe a still life now and then to keep me focused but nature is a challenge both to paint and to photograph...and I like a good challenge.
