I shoot pictures, drink good beer, wander in the woods a bit, occasionally write things, and try to be good. Everything else is details.

I have traditionally shot on an old Pentax K1000. My first forray into digital was a Fuji A210 p&s. I currently shoot with a Pentax K20d, a Pentax K100D, Sigma 10-20mm, 18-55mm kit lens, 50mm 1.4, tamron 70-300mm, and old manual Pentax 28mm 2.8. I edit using Lightroom 3 for RAW conversion and some minor tweaks. Most of my shots have minimal editing applied (primarily black/white conversion, or slight color balance.) I use Microsoft ICE for panoramas at the moment. I prefer wildlife, landscapes and the built environment as subjects, although I'm cautiously courting Macro with my 50mm/2X macrofocusing teleconverter combo and somewhat less stellar 1:2 "macro" on the 70-300mm when working distance is an issue.

I still keep the k1000 around.
