In September 2008, my now ex-girlfriend's brother came to visit for her graduation from Pharmacy school and brought his brand new Canon Rebel T1i. My right brain went wild for a minute when I saw it. I was so happy to have gotten my new Panasonic Lumix F-something, and here was this big digital camera with a huge lense...wow! I rarely took pictures, even when we went on vacation, I would only take out the camera if I was reminded to. But I wanted to play with this Rebel. I decided to keep my distance because I thought I would probably mess up the images. Anyway, less than a year later, I couldn't stop thinking about that camera and started researching DSLRs. I thought i could learn how to use it and learn how to take pictures. Finally, I decided on the Nikon D90 because it was brand new and it had great reviews. Also, it was more affordable than the comparable Canons, and Nikon lenses seemed to be less expensive. When I got the camera, in July 2009, I was totally intimidated and realized the best thing to do is to take a class. Somehow, I ended up at Harrington School of Design. Now I HAVE to learn how to take good pictures!

With the new Nikon P7000 and Canon G12 on the market, I bought the Canon G11. What a great little camera! It has a hot shoe, shoots RAW and has a nice wide angle. I love it.
