Hi,

I am working as a documentary film maker and photographer.

Two years on Flickr and have met some nice people around here and quite a few good photographers.

Not so happy with the level of comments and I have to admit that I am more and more guilty of that too. I am realising that most people don't really want a comment/critique on their pictures. I also notice that more and more people are not commenting at all anymore but just fav a pic. I think that is a pity because it would be an opportunity to mutually develop technical knowledge and stimulate creativity.

Also not too happy on how Flickr/Yahoo handles the copyrights and ignores complaints about that.

All in all reason for me to go back to a non pro account. So less pics here, but more on my own website www.knikmanav.nl

Oh... btw if you think my pics are in sub optimal quality... You are right :) That is on purpose. I have experienced too many thefts = use of my pics without proper authorisation (and that could be done by just asking to use a pic!). And not to say the lousy protection Flickr is "offering". So for better quality: ask or go to my website.
