My professional career began in commercial photography. I worked in various photo studios from 1984 until about 2002. Photography is - and has always been - something I enjoy on a personal level as well as a professional one. My self-education in digital imaging began with Photoshop 2.5 in the early 1990's.

My involvement with web began in the mid-nineties. The studio I worked for had just gotten online. The hosting company designed the web site. It sucked. Convinced there had to be a better way, I learned basic html by reading web page code. It wasn’t long before I yearned for a more visual way of creating pages. I first discovered PageMill and ImageStyler. Shortly after, I found Dreamweaver 1.2 and Fireworks. I never looked back, combining my visual skills with my newly learned and constantly developing digital ones.
