Some years past I worked in documentation film. I have dabbled in still work since I was a kid, but never too seriously. Recently I have found myself in need of dusting off the photo skills, such as they are, in support of a research project in economic history (yep, there's a story there).

The need to save a fairly large set of photos quickly to a place available from any location led me to Flickr.

Now I seem to have a new toy.

I am a woodturner, a furniture maker (of sorts) and cabinet maker. JoAnn and I are tree farmers (now that's a task requiring patience!), raising a good sized garden and trying to keep ahead of 30-some acres.

When I am not working on the place I manage to teach economics at Elon University where I am a professor of economics, concentrating in distributional ethics, the history of the discipline of economics, and the relationship between the church and the economy in the middle ages.

I suppose if I were twelve I would be heavily medicated ....
