I'm retired from USDA-Forest Service, Southern Research Station. Ph.D. in Forest Ecology. I live in Arkansas, USA. I'm married and have two sons, two daughter's-in-law, and twin grandsons (and a whole passel of granddogs).

I started messing around with digital photography and Flickr several years ago. I guess I wore out a Canon Powershot A75 in about eight months and now use a little Fuji FinePix F20 camera that I can carry in my pocket. Three things I love about Flickr: (1) Meeting and making really great friends from all over the world, and (2) making and posting pictures on Flickr, and (3) viewing and admiring the awesome images of other Flickrites. All these have become an extraordinary educational process and experience...

Thanks for visiting my photostream and leaving those nice remarks and comments... And thanks too, for sharing your wonderful photos and creations with me...

"Jim's breathtaking photographs invariably capture the Essence and Wonders of this Magnificent Divine Creation. He is truly blessed with the gift of the vision of Beauty and Love and this is so apparent from his work. I have known Jim for a couple of years through Flickr and though I have never met Jim personally, I am always touched by his photographs, which never fail to evoke within me a truly deep sense of wonder and gratitude to my Creator for all the Divine Beauty, Inspiration and Grandeur that exists all around us - if we would only see it...like Jim."
