*自己紹介
(Self Introduction)

-ぼくの職業はWebプロデューサーです。Web制作会社であるアークウェブで働き、東京都中央区に猫5匹と共に暮らしています。オープンソース運動のhttp://www.zen-cart.jp/の言いだしっぺであり、Snippyというサービスもやっています。

(I am running the company named ARK-Web as vice president, that is the Web site developer, and live with 4 cats in Chuo Ward, Tokyo . Participating in www.zen-cart.jp/ (open source movement), and providing social bookmark service "Snippy".)

-Flickrは本当に楽しいフォトシェアリング・サービスだと思う。それだけじゃなく、いわゆるWeb2.0とかソーシャル・ソフトウェアの未来を感じさせるところがいい。

(Flickr is really cool photo sharing service. Thinking about so-called "Web2.0" or social software, I feel the sort of future in Flickr.)

-Flickrにハマって気づいた(より思いを強めた)のは、「記録しなかったものは忘れ去られる」という単純な事実。

(Using Flickr, I have noticed a simple truth that "It is forgotten if you don't capture it".)

-だからぼくはコンパクトなデジカメ(SANYO J4)を使って、主に自分の生活記録として写真を撮ることにしています。人の写真が少ないのは、プライバシーを考慮してprivateにしていることが多いから。

(So, I am mainly taking the photograph as my life log by using compact
digital camera (SANYO J4).
As you can't see any people's photo on my stream, because I set that to "private" in consideration of privacy.)

-いわゆるカッコいい写真を撮ることにはあまり興味はない。ぼくにとってあまり自然なことではないし、周りの目を意識してばかりいると、やがて楽しくなくなるから。

(I am not so interested in taking a cool picture. It is unnatural to me, and if you always consider other people's eyes, get tired.)

-コメントは歓迎。英語を読むことは大抵問題ないけど、書く英語は貧相です。
