Empecé a interesarme en la fotografía gracias a mi abuelo materno. Él no nos llevaba al parque a mi y a mi hermano. Nos metía en el cuarto de revelado y nos enseñaba a procesar las películas. Recuerdo aquella habitación oscura llena de carteles con cadaveras que advertían a los niños pequeños (nosotros) de lo peligroso de los productos químicos que se manejaban allí.

Más tarde me regalaron una Yashica con la que hice mis primeras fotos.

Hoy en día ya no revelo ninguna foto. Las analógicas las envío a revelar (que cada vez son menos), y las digitales (sobre todo en formato RAW) se tratan en casa.

Algunos de mis fotografos favoritos son Eugene Arget, Andrzej Dragan, o Ansel Adams entre los 'clasicos'. Pero cada día me maravilla ver el trabajo de nuevos fotografos (al menos para mi) en Flickr.

Tengo la firme convicción de que la fotografía se aprende, en su mayoría, viendo fotografías. Luego hay que practicar, pero si no hemos visto el abecedario no podemos escribir.

I first became interested in photography thanks to my maternal grandfather. He did not took us to the park to me and my brother. We got into the darkroom and he taught us to process films. I remember that dark room filled with corpses posters warning young children (us) how dangerous were the chemicals handled there.

He later gave me a Yashica with which I made my first photos.

Nowadays, I don't reveal films anymore. There are ever fewer the analogic photographs I do. These are processed in an external proffesional service, and the digital ones(especially in RAW format) are treated by myself, at home.

Some of my favorite photographers are Eugene Arget, Andrzej Dragan, or Ansel Adams among the 'classics'. But every day I wonder to see the work of new photographers (at least for me) on Flickr.

I firmly believe that photography is learned, mostly, seeing photographs. Then I need to practice, but if I have not seen the ABC can not write.
