About us:
Lauren and Jesse live in Philadelphia. Aside from food, we like listening to Brazilian music, propagating succulents, drinking yerba mate, renting from Beaux Arts Video, reading about economics and history, and looking at cute dogs.

About the food blog:
We started this blog to show people that it's easy to cook food in a small kitchen with a few ingredients, and that with a bare bones recipe you can learn the skills you need to become a decent cook. We also wanted to teach ourselves HTML, how to become better writers, and how to photograph food. We do all the cooking ourselves, take all the photos ourselves, and write the recipes ourselves, unless noted otherwise.

About the kitchen:
We cook in a 6' x 3' kitchen in a studio apartment with minimal counter space and a mini-oven. We don't have a lot of kitchen gadgets (aka a blender) and we don't have a dishwasher, but it works for us and we felt like there were enough people out there in tiny apartments, dorm rooms, and house-shares that were in the same situation and were interested in what we were doing!
