I'm a semi-profressional photographer originally from Big Chimney, just outside of Charleston, West Virginia. I started shooting when I was 18 with a Canon film point and shoot that belonged to my mother. Picked up an SLR shortly after with the kit lens in college. Used it on several backpacking trips and then moved to another Canon film point and shoot for weight issues (when you live in the woods out of a bag for a week every ounce counts). I didn't take many pictures or progress very much until I got my first digital in Aug 04, a Canon A80 4mp. I felt I reached the limit of what I could do with a digital point and shoot and knew I needed to go back to an SLR. So I picked up my first Digital SLR the Canon 30D in Jan 07. Ready to learn as much as I can.

I have a deep interest in outdoor photography including landscapes, animals, and macro. I shoot weddings, senior pictures, and family photos to pay for my equipment. I have a website coming soon to display my "professional" work as I still want to use Flickr as a place to share non-portfolio worthy photos with my family.

Note: I know a lot of people here only post their best images for the public. I choose to post most of my images here so I can easily share them with friends and family. Maybe I'll get another account for portfolio reasons, but yes, you will have to sift through tons of images to find my best.
