I live in the San Francisco Bay Area -- I live in Oakland and work in San Francisco. My vocation is as a project manager for web applications and websites. My avocations are legion -- cats, photography, cooking,canning/preserving/baking, gardening.

I am a dark green greenie and write about gardening, green living, vegan cooking and sometimes, cats, on my blog Live Green, Wear Black.

I chose the name because I think that growing your own food is one of the most radical, subversive things you can do. Really being "green" is more than just buying "Safeway Organics" and defies any current mainstream co-option of the concept. Being green is not merely about about consumption and buying "organic" or (expensive) green products.
