I got into photography after taking my camera to a park a few years ago, and was hooked.
I love the outdoors and photography is a great reason to go exploring, little kid style, in the woods or around a lake or through a meadow. The two are synergistic.
I enjoy all types of photography. I don't take my camera with me a lot except to parks or nature preserves, so I'm still working on the other stuff. I've got some ideas.
I just bought my first DSLR (late July 2010), though I've been serious about photography for a while (it's not a contradiction, I swear!). I'm starting to save all over again for a nice lense or two and lighting equipment, etc. And now I have to learn how to process RAW pictures.
