"Jege" is pronounced "Jeggie" (rhymes with Veggie), just so you know. It's a nickname from my childhood that stuck.

I am an architect living in Portland, OR. I have been an avid photographer since the age of 7, when I started collecting and taking apart old cameras. I shoot primarily film, although I do a fair bit of digital photography as well. My primary (functional) cameras are as follows: Holga, PinHolga, Holgaroid, Brownie Hawkeye, Pentax K1000 (which I have had since I was 12), Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 and DMC-FZ50 w/ 35-420mm Leica lens, and an old Canon Powershot A40. My legion of non-functional cameras is vast and sordid, and therefore I will not bore you with the details. Unless you ask nicely.

"Jen's photography captures the multi-dimensionality in life. Some of her Holga photos appear almost holographic to me, and their composition speaks to the emotional authenticity of her work. I don't find her photographs merely "well taken," but "felt from within." And I believe, in general, that one has to be moved by or love one's photographic subject (at least from an artistic point of view) to take a great photo that withstands the test of time. Her work also speaks to me of magic and timeless majesty, especially her nature photography. I look forward to seeing her photos for years to come, and I will feel as fortunate at that time as I do right now in having the privelege to view and comment on them."

"Jege has an attitude problem that is trumped only by her photographic talent. I can count on Jege to do three things: make me laugh hysterically, come up with a great putdown and to take an amazing shot. She is a true artist, and I look up to her in more ways than one. (Usually because I'm cowering in the corner, but that's neither here nor there.)

All kidding aside, she is my favorite photographer ever, and an inimitable artist."

"jen's IR is very accomplished. Unless you have experience with IR film and digital work and experience the difficulties first hand. Its hard to appreciate the "really good stuff." Jege's IR is noiseless and dreamy! If your hungry for IR, tie on a bib and view the IR set here! joey from pittsburgh"
