Web developer, musician and photographer, geek. I've been shooting since I was 12 when my father got me my first Nikon - an EM. I lost touch with my interest until 2005 when my father (again) helped usher me into the digital age. Now, I shoot semi-professionally and love every minute of it.

I have a blog.jeffbalke.com and write a music industry blog at Chron.com. I also play in the band, orange is in here in Houston. Mostly, I'm a nerd, who co-owns a web development company.

I'm happy I found Flickr for many reasons, but especially for all the friends I've made. Flickr is a great community of people.
