We are Jed Picksley and Tomas Remiarz, nomadic permaculture practitioners. Over the last three years we have built compost toilets, sheds, greywater systems, raised beds and a barn, orgainsed events, looked after children, written business plans, taught permaculture courses and dug/ mulched/planted/weeded/harvested more gardens, orchards and woodlands than we could possibly remember. We migrate predominantly in Britain, with occasional forays into central Europe, particularly Germany and the Czech Republic. For a living, Jed makes art, Tomas teaches permaculture courses or is available for design work. Sometimes we do commercial harvest work, but mostly we just cruise from one friendly place to the next on our bikes and enjoy the beautiful simplicity of sharing other people's space, work and lives. Nomadism helps to cros-pollinate projects with ideas, information and enthusiasm. It may not be everybody's ideal lifestyle, but it certainly works for us!
