What can I say, I'm somewhat of a big deal. I am a professional writer in that over the course of a year I have been paid $25 for nearly 200 articles that I've written. That's what's so great about being a professional, it doesn't have anything to do with your skill level, simply your ability to sell yourself. I'm not that good at selling myself, but that doesn't matter, either.

Sadly, I can't consider myself a professional photographer. In fact, what's the opposite of a professional? And not an amatuer, because they just do something without being paid, I actually go and pay to be a photographer, so I guess that makes me a confessional (the conjunction of con - as in the opposite of pro, and fessional. It's unfortunate that is already a real word.) Perhaps I am a negessional, which is obviously the mixture of negative and professional.

Anyway, I'll keep taking pictures, and keep writing. Maybe one day I'll write about the pictures that I take. Captions can be fun!
