About Me:

Photography has always been a part of my consciousness. As a third-generation photographer raised in New England in the 1960’s, many of my earliest memories involve some aspect of photography. My favorite memory is of traipsing after my dad through the woods along the banks of the mighty Merrimack as he worked at lining up the perfect shot of the Tyngsboro Bridge. It was that very day that I got my first glimpse of the upside-down and backwards image on the ground glass of his Graflex.

As magical as that sight was, I still did not understand the fascination or the power of photography. It wasn’t until my mid-twenties when my dad gave me one of his many 35mm cameras, that I really began to take photography seriously. Now, after so many years of pursuing it I finally understand the fascination. For me it comes from creating. I think that for some people creativity is a basic human need, like food or water or air.
