Hello All...

I just realized that I am not 29 anymore and I should edit this!!! :0P

Well, I am 30...did I say that...and currently a grad student working on my MA in Child Development at CSU, Sacramento. I'm almost done...working on the thesis now...and soon will be off to a PhD program somewhere!

Photography has always been something I 'wanted' to do. Something I would sigh about, wishing I could just....I would tinker here and there with cheap cameras, taking shots that only seemed to please my senses at the moment only to discard them later. As I grew away from poetry and writing (other than scholarly papers) I once again turned to the camera. I found flickr quite by accident when I clicked on a photo of the 2007 California fires in a news article, and was instantly hooked. Flickr gave me what I never had, a community of photographers both professional and beginner, and a new motivation to get out and photograph. It also led me to the 'extravagant' and 'impulsive' purchase of my first DSLR in December of 2008; a purchase I am thankful for everytime I go out into this wide world and find some piece of beauty in it's everyday!
As a student I am always busy, but when it comes time to shoot, or I make time, I am completely absorbed!
