I'm rather new to this photography thing - my interest was sparked by a casual encounter with a professional photography on a family holiday in Whitby, North Yorkshire. A few months later we took the family to a photo session (not family portraits, mind!) where we were blown away by some of the images. This is my attempt to find just one image like those we saw that day. I still have a long way to go but the journey is part of the fun.

My photographic interests are fairly varied - family shots of course, though I will keep most of those private, scenery, street scenes etc. I'm always on the lookout for an interesting image and my inclination is to minimise post-manipulation.

I'm into running (I applied for a place in the 2008 London Marathon, sadly it failed), golf, Fulham FC, beer, wine, music and sleeping.
