My Name is Jared Tyler and I live in Richland Michigan but Im from Reno Nevada. Im am 18 years of age.

What If I could take you back to a place, a place of youth, color, and pure magic. This place is called your Imagination, a familiar yet long awaited companion that most of us loose throughout our busy and hectic lifestyles. In my work I strive to give people a chance to view something that isn't possible in the real world, but is undeniably true to your conscious and subconscious mind. What I want you to do is let go of your outside lives for just a moment and step back into a familiar and undeniable territory where you let your minds eye do the work.

"Although I've never had the pleasure of meeting Jared personally, I'm always impressed by his work . This young man has a talent for amazing composition & his conceptual work is just extraordinary. Jared is very talented & I can see him going far in the field of photography, should he chose to pursue this path. I never cease to be amazed how Jared can take a simple idea & turn it into a truly unique work of art! Jared has a truly creative mind, he sees things in an ordinary scene that most of us would overlook.

"I'm pleased to be able to write a testimonial about Jared. I have somehow crossed a generational divide, and quite a number of my flickr contacts, including Jared, are more the age of my children than my own age. It is interesting to watch them grow with their photography.

As his profile indicates, Jared had an interest in art before he began his serious photography, and the drawings on his profile show a great deal of skill.

I think it is perhaps because he is so well able to produce representational art without a camera that he has produced a great variety of photographic work that, while often at least partly representational, has special creative flair.

I actually see and admire this in many younger photographers; my vision is more conventional, and in contrast they are often quite experimental. There is, accordingly, no single style or type of photo that characterizes Jared's photographic portfolio. One day it may be a self-portrait or portrait of his girlfriend or other friend, another it may be a flower macro, another it may be something very dreamy and nearly abstract.

One concern I have about some of the younger photographers is not learning the basics of lighting, exposure, composition, depth of field, etc. Jarad is taking a high school photography class, which should take care of that and maybe force him to do some assignments he wouldn't have done on his own.

If anyone reading this is considering working with Jarad on a free-lance project or internship, or evaluating him for college admissions, I will say that I know this: He has enough on the ball that when I asked him to write a profile answering specific questions I was curious about, he had it done very nicely within 24 hours -- and went above and beyond by adding the drawings. If that is typical of his initiative and diligence, he's a promising young man."
