I'm a 22 year old IT student in Hungary. The very first image I took was with a Fujifilm throw-away camera. When my family saw the results, they've digged out my grandpa's Altissa Altix V full manual camera. I used that machine to document the family trips. Browsing my albums nowadays I found some great composed, very nice pictures - I am going to scan them and open an Archive set here, on Flickr. Meanwhile my mother has sold her Zenit to buy a Canon EOS 300 (not 300D) - she is using that one ever since.

My first digital machine was a Canon PowerShot A70. I loved it, because it has offered full manual control also. Later I've replaced it with a Canon A85, which I sold recently and bought a Canon A590 IS, that is currently used by my brother. In 2007 I've joined SPOT, the photo workshop of the faculty at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. There I could learn important techniques, make friendships and use the EOS 20D. :)

But the groundbreaking day was the 14th August, 2008. The day, when I bought my 40D. I was always interested in photography, knew for a long time what depth-of-field or chromatic aberration meaned, but since then I could really practice, and I feel my knowledge started to raise exponentially. But from now on, let my photos tell the story. Have a great time viewing them!

I mostly use Canon's Digital Photo Professional to retouch/develop my images. So I adjust the brightness, white balance, contrast curves, saturation and sharpness. Sometimes I correct lens aberration, like peripheral illumination, distortion and chromatic aberration. I do some luma and chroma noise filtering as well. I also may use the two tools: trimming tool and the stamp tool, to remove some glitches.

To sum up, I only adjust some minor settings to make my shots realistic - I never paste or add objects, or make my photos look far from reality. My pictures are made when I press the shutter button - not afterwards.
