I'm a branding consultant in Portland, OR. I particularly enjoy noticing and photographing details that take subjects out of context, making them into something else or giving them new context. I like finding the extraordinary in the ordinary and loosely follow a rule to face the opposite direction of the obvious scene to photograph, and photograph that instead.

As a designer, I'm always looking for the underlying design elements in a particular scene, the patterns and textures and shapes that make up what we see.
