Hello! I am Jane Kathryn Kolles, the creativity catalyst of Right Brain Jane.™ I am a graphic and surface designer living in Minneapolis, MN, USA.
I love to create all kinds of visual art, whether making patterns in Illustrator or Photoshop, drawing off the computer, making things with my hands or capturing the visual world around me with my camera.
I shoot with a Canon PowerShot SD880 IS. And of course with my iPhone when I don't have my digital.
I am inspired by patterns and color, nature, the ocean and its life-forms, the seasons, art, travel, vintage and mid-century modern, the color orange, Andy Warhol, Charles and Ray Eames, Vera Neumann textiles, Mad Men, Project Runway, fashion, film, mandalas, music and pop culture.
I live with my beloved almost 14-year old feline companion Jetson (aka Mr. Cozy)...who is my most photographed subject!
