Born in Newport in South Wales (UK) a very long time ago; lived in Scotland (Greenock), then Sussex (Worthing), Devon (Yelverton and Plymouth) followed by Wales (Barry, St Athan and Neath/Castell Nedd) again. Moved back to Scotland at last in 2011 !!
Although Scotland is my favourite place, I also love Ireland and Italy.
What else to say about myself...? Happily married to Geoffrey; we were both musicians for a long time, worked for a charity afterwards and are now retired but with lots of interests and passions.
I spend more time on Flickr than any other website, not only because I find it the best place for my photos but because of the wonderful people I've met here. I have made some great friends who have helped me enormously with my work - both directly and indirectly. Thank you all for your wonderful encouragement and inspiration!

My wonderful new camera (bought at the end of November 2012) is a Nikon D600. I have also bought two lenses: the Nikon AF-S VR 70-300 f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED and the AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED.
(My photos on Flickr which appeared before the end of November 2012 were taken mainly with my Sony DSLR A100 and my lenses were the Sony Kit Lens (18-70mm f/3.5-5.6), Cosina 100mm f/3.5 Macro lens and Minolta AF 75-300 SLR 1.5m/4.9ft Zoom Lens. I also used a Sony HVL-F42AM Flashgun.
Some other, older, photos were taken with my little point-and-shoot Sony DSC-W50 - and a few of the very old ones with a Konica Minolta DiMAGE S304 which I no longer have.)
I love colourful effects of all kinds (you'll never see any black and white photos on my Photostream!)
Besides photography, I love making kaleidoscopes and fractals. Some of my various images are on this page.
