Born in Newport in South Wales (UK) a very long time ago; lived in Scotland (Greenock), then Sussex (Worthing), Devon (Yelverton and Plymouth) followed by Wales (Barry, St Athan and Neath/Castell Nedd) again. Now back in Scotland at last!!
Although Scotland is my favourite place, I also love Ireland and Italy.
What else to say about myself...? Happily married to Geoffrey; we were both musicians for a long time, worked for a charity afterwards and are now semi-retired but with loads of interests and passions.
I spend more time on Flickr than any other website, not only because I find it the best place for my photos but because of the wonderful people I've met here. I have made some great friends who have helped me enormously with my work - both directly and indirectly. Thank you all for your wonderful encouragement and inspiration!

My main camera is a Sony DSLR A100 and my lenses are the Sony Kit Lens (18-70mm f/3.5-5.6), Cosina 100mm f/3.5 Macro lens and a Minolta AF 75-300 SLR 1.5m/4.9ft Zoom Lens.
Some other photos on Flickr were taken with my great little point-and-shoot Sony DSC-W50 and a few of the very old ones with a Konica Minolta DiMAGE S304 which I no longer have.
My latest piece of kit is a Sony HVL-F42AM Flashgun, bought at the end of July 2010
I love colourful effects of all kinds (you'll never see any black and white photos on my Photostream!)
Besides photography, I love making kaleidoscopes and fractals. Some of my various images are on this page.
