Photographs reflect an instant in time. My goal with each photo is that you "contemplate" that image. Reflect on that instant. Perhaps the image will tell you a story. Awaken a memory. Help you better "see" and appreciate the people, animals, natural wonders and unique cultures that are all part of our wondrous world.

My name is Jim Seith. A bit of my background: A retired Air Force pilot with a combat tour in Viet Nam to start my career and two years as the Director of the Western Hemisphere Division on the Joint Chiefs of Staff to finish up 22 years later. Currently an executive with the AARP Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the AARP.

I have traveled around the globe for over 40 years, initially for "business" and for the last 15 years to experience the unique cultures, people, places and things that are all part of our wondrous world. During this time I built this aerobatic aircraft and flew it from Washington, DC to Alaska and back--a once-in-a-lifetime adventure--at least for me!

With the completion of my trip to Antarctica in February 2008 as crew member on a racing sailboat, I've now been on all seven continents.

Along the way I began to try and save some of the things I saw in photos. You can view all of my images at my website: James Seith Photography

I've also put my photo stories into professionally printed hard cover books suitable for your coffee table. I self-publish using a commercial book printer, so unfortunately my prices can't compete with Borders--but Borders doesn't have my photos and my books are just as nice! Take a look--you can preview every page in each book. My Photo Books Hit the back button on your browser to return to this page.

I'm glad you found my photos and I hope you enjoy them. I'd love to hear what you have to say. Thanks for stopping by.
