James lives in the beautiful City of Bath, in South-West England. He has been interested in photography from his teenage years. In these early days he used 35mm film, graduating onto Digital SLR as the technology became affordable. He specializes in photographing people and place, but has a side interest in wildlife whenever he can find the extra time. He has recently rediscovered film, though this time in large format (4"x5"). This medium helps slow the creative process, creates a true understanding of the nature of photography, capturing exquisite detail that the affordiable digital SLR is as yet unable to reproduce.
