I'm a portuguese guy, born in Venezuela and living in Dunedin, New Zealand. To compensate for your curiosity about my profile in some way, I selected for you these remarkable jazz interpretations I found in Youtube. Maria Joao is a portuguese singer with a very strong personal style. This song is named Flor and I believe belongs to a brazilian singer named Lenine. Here is another track, from her last album, called Escurinha. Aquarela means "watercolor" in portuguese and this is a music from another brazilian composer, Toquinho. The music was not composed by him, really, but his version is very popular. The lyrics and the drawings are perfectly matched and, after several years, continues to be a great video. For me, two of the most beautiful songs ever are from Ennio Morricone. This is The Mission and the other one is Cinema Paradiso, of course. My favorite version is the one played by Pat Methenny. Didn't find it in Youtube but the link points to a great interpretation of PM. Can't name a important jazz musician without naming one of the greatests musician of all times: Keith Jarret. Talking about KJ reminds me that I found once a very interesting thing about another pianno guy: see this incredible performance of Bobby McFerry and Chick Corea. Talking about xtraordinary performances, this is Jeff Coffin, one of the Bela Fleck band guys. Hope you enjoy it. I'll keep adding as I found or remember them, like this one: Hiromi Uehara
