Divina infancia. El fotográfico.

Empecé en la fotografía al poco tiempo de ser padre. Me gustaba la idea de que mis hijas tuviesen fotos de calidad y además me servía de distracción en una época en que estaba "atado" a la vida familiar, del trabajo a casa y de casa al trabajo. Poco a poco fui interesándome, leyendo libros de fotografía y viendo exposiciones. También empecé a enviar fotos a concursos y sobre todo a participar activamente en Flickr, como fotógrafo y como administrador de grupos. Esta actividad me ha puesto en contacto con excelentes fotógrafos y me ha permitido contemplar miles de fotografías que, evidentemente, han influido en mi trabajo.
Quizás la característica principal de mi fotografía (o por lo menos es lo que yo he intentado) es trabajar el retrato infantil de una manera distinta. Me alejo cuanto puedo del tratamiento edulcorado pero tampoco me interesa el extremo opuesto. Trato a los niños como personas y procuro captar sus emociones y movimientos en la vida cotidiana. Además intento que el resultado tenga un aspecto agradable con una composición cuidada y la máxima simplicidad.
También me gusta experimentar. Hace bastante tiempo que dejé de darle importancia a la perfección técnica y prefiero jugar con desenfoques, texturas, movimiento, alteraciones del color. Paso del color al blanco y negro y vuelvo al color.

I got into photography after becoming a father. I like the idea of my daughters have quality photos at the same time it was an scape from an intense family life and my daily routine.
Little by little I became more interested, reading photography books and visiting exhibitions. Also I started to enter competitions and in particular to actively take part in Flickr, as both photographer and a group administrator. This allowed me to get to know some excellent photographers and gave the oportunity to see thousands of pictures which have influenced my work.
Maybe the main feature of my work (or at least what I've aimed for) is to do children's portraits in a different way. I try to avoid clichés. My aim is to treat them as human beings, a opposed to objects, by trying to capture their everyday emotions and activities.
I also try to achieve carefully compose simplicity that results in a pleasing effect.
I love to experiment. I gave up placing importance on technical perfection some time ago in favour of playing with focus, textures, movement and colour shifts. Sometimes I work in B&W, sometimes in colour.
