I am always amazed that I am a photographer, because I did not set out to become one. I came to photography through literature. Through a passion for expatriate literature from Paris of the 20s and 30s, I discovered a world of images. One passion turned into another as my world of words became a world of images. Thus, began my journey from the textual to the visual, from one form of story telling to another. I began to see the world anew and allowed myself to be lead in unexpected directions. I discovered that photography is about being open to new possibilities. It is about seeing, being patient, and being forever humbled.

    Hsien-Ku says:

    "Jacqueline is an artist.
Everything in her photostream evidences a deep understanding of light, line, plane, tone, shape, mood ... and of beauty in all its forms.
Like all true artists, Jacqueline ensures the longevity of her artform by encouraging and supporting less experienced photographers. She is a shining light on flickr."
