jackie the turquoise hippy faery. I love cats, faeries, all things fantastical, unicorns, visionary art, the magical and wonderful town of Glastonbury, hippy clothes, sewing, painting, collecting art cards, travel. I live in a house full of wonderful colourful things, and I am working on making the garden like a mini Chalice Well gardens. I am inspired by nature and the fae realms. I share my home with my little tabby cat Poppy.

I draw and paint but just for fun, my style is definitely naive! But I find it very relaxing and therapeutic. Glastonbury Tor pops up in a lot of my work.

My favourite place to photograph is Glastonbury! I take a lot of photos everytime I go there, only a small selection of what I actually have are on here. If I lived nearer I could dash down there for colourful sunsets and mists and frosty mornings but I live too far away to do that. So I have to make the best of what the conditions are like when I visit.

I am a funtographer, which means photography is a fun hobby for me. I am not into the really serious technical stuff, I point and shoot (though I do stop and think about composition). I fnd the best way to record the places I have been and holidays I have had is through photography. I describe my photography as a visual journal of my life, recording the places I go to and the adventures I have, the things I fill my life and home with, and my friends.


As well as posting new photos here I am also now scanning some old ones from pre digital days, for my own memories as much as anything.

All my outings and places photos, and quite a few others, will be public. But I am increasingly making photos of me and of my friends, friends only. I have made quite a few of my contacts friends, and anyone I know in real life or via my blog will automatially be added as a friend.

I am very flattered to have had a couple of my photos from here used on a tourism site in the US, with my permission :) Although I am a "point and shoot" photographer, it really is one of my main hobbies and I am always chuffed when my photos are admired :) My friend Jhenah is also using about 30 of my photos in the revised edition of her book about Glastonbury, due out late 2010.

I have used a Canon Powershot A520 since March 2006. It has been a very trusty little camera. But I recently bought a Canon Powershot SX110 which has much better zoom and macro. I am already really pleased with it. My photos will be with both- most of them with the new one now but I still carry the old one round with me for those photo ops you might come across on the way to the shops or the way home from work, or spontaneous occurances.
