this is a little experiment-in-progress... every photo in this stream is something sent or received via e-mail or on some sort of network since around 2001, maybe earlier or maybe later if the dates are registered wrong on the files and with the exception of those that have gotten lost along the way... there are over 1000 collected as of now, to be continuously uploaded as time and interest allows. most of them have probably only ever existed in this world as that particular moment when the photo was taken or the file made, then left in the computer, in one folder called "to/from", like digital blinks of dust...

had wanted to print them all out for a long time now, but suddenly this space seemed like an appropriate place to let them out again...so for now, an e-showing of sorts... it's all quite banal really, but here is the thing that is flickr! a panopticon is a viewfinder, a way of seeing, as well as a prison. we are made up of all of these images, wound up in it, addicted. is here the whole greater than the sum of its parts? do these instances manage any sort of meaningful identity?
