Ivo Selder is born December 6th 1973 in Oostrum, a small town farming community in the southern province of The Netherlands. He grows up in the natural surroundings of wood- and farmland that are typical in this part of the country and enjoys a pleasant childhood, spending his time with local farmers working the lands. Here his fascination for nature, observation, meditation and spirituality finds its origin. As a self-taught artist internal exploration and active reflection begins around 1994.

Memorium is the new film project by Ivo Selder, currently going through final stages of editing. During a four year period (2002-2005) - transitory state of mind in between productions - a series of field-explorations is covered and captured. Often travelling back and forth, south and west of the country. "Being here wanting to be there..." End of 2008 a film is in advanced stage of editing: Memorium - a commitment to memory. After several delays due to personal circumstances the film is currently going through final stages of editing...
