Having become interested in science and nature from a very early age, I used to test my parents’ patience by bringing all kinds of bugs and reptiles into the house. At Christmas, I was always more likely to ask Santa for a microscope than a fancy doll. Now, a "few" years later, science has become my work, and wildlife is still very much a passionate hobby of mine. When I get the chance, I love to travel and explore the great outdoors. I am now completely addicted to nature photography, and never go anywhere without my camera. I started off with Sony Cybershots from the DSC-H series, which enabled me to produce sharp, but fieldguide-like, records of insects and birds. Then, in October 2009 I bought a Canon EOS 500D which, together with a 300mm tele-lens and 60mm macro-lens, has opened the door to a myriad of new possibilities such as action photos and superb 1:1 macros.

I love the challenge and the thrill of getting close to wildlife, of all shapes and sizes, for a great shot. These flickr pages contain some of the (old and new) results. Enjoy!
