As a young man sitting still was an option I never chose, as the years add up and the body needs a little more rest I now see things a little different.
I studied Art and Graphic design with a keen interest in photography given to me by my father. He was a man who loved nature and spent as much time as he could taking us to the most magnificent places in the UK, his excuse for travelling around to photograph fungi, his passion.
My passion is trying to get that sense of movement into a photograph, or the expanse of this great island we live on.
After a year of following the flickr world I have now decided to be a member of only a few groups, and just add people as contacts if I like their work and comment on pictures if they move me, no more discussion or competitions, just reduce my time on a laptop and increase my hours with a tripod.
In other words"WALK IT not TALK IT"
My website has has some of my better photographs with the option to buy in various formats

"Mr Williamson uses a wide angle lens to great effect, and often has strong saturated colors in his photos. I look forward to new images from him, as they show great strength and power in the landscapes he calls home."
