About Italian Girl in Georgia ~ Suzanne MacCrone / Suzanne MacCrone  

I am a native San Franciscan and lived in the Bay Area for most of my life with the exception of my time in Italy and graduate school at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.

About eight years ago at a golf course on an island in the San Francisco Bay, I met the man I was to marry. {I do not play golf, by the way.} He is a Southern Gentleman who at the time was also living in the Bay Area, but decided to return to his hometown in Georgia to pursue a new career in teaching and work on the plantation and in the sugar cane fields. {Just kidding about the plantation and sugar cane fields ~ but there was the promise of living in an old southern style pile of bricks which used to be his grandparent’s home…it’s a good thing for him that I actually like to restore old spaces.}

So what's a girl to do? I packed my stuff and made the biggest move of my life to make my new home in Georgia. Almost seven years later, I have a lovely and kind husband and delightful rascal of a little boy, both who inspire me to be my best. I am now not only the San Francisco Girl in Georgia, but also the Italian Girl in Georgia.
