I travel the globe looking for work. At the moment I happen to be working and living in Afghanistan while remotely battling USAKA and the evils of the Kwajalein Police Department who enable corrupt Marshallese Government leaders, Kings and Queens in their on going oppressive treatment of Marshallese citizens.

"Since I am on flickr I've met some very interesting and warm people who care about the environment, the people and nature. Gregory (CARF) and Thomas (Mio Cade) are some of them .. but Island Life is also a very good chap. He's asking questions a lot of us never dares to ask, he's helping locals in supporting and giving hope .. I really hope he can stay this strong and convincing, just to keep us people in the West awake!
Keep on sharing your ideas, thoughts and photos, cheers mate, peace."

"Shy is an amazing man. Not only does he take some of the most beautiful pictures. But they almost always have a story behind them. He has a heart of gold and really cares about the people when he's sent to places to work. When he believes in something he will fight to the bitter end over it. One of the many things I admire in him. His is the 1st stream I ever went all the way through when I 1st started on Flickr.

I Love that you're not afraid to speak up when you see something's not right and people are being treated wrong. I believe if there was more like you the world would be a better place and maybe things could be changed. I'm honored to be your friend and glad I met you on here. Keep doing what you're doing I have faith in you as does others. May you be blessed with every step you take and someone will listen to you and finally change the wrong you have seen and fight for so passionately!!!! Xoxo

"Friends are angels that help us make it through life
They're always there when we need them no matter what the distance is between us.
For you don't need to be there in person to give you support and help
They know when something is wrong without you saying a word
They rejoice in your happiness when you've had the best day of your life
They hurt when you've had the worse and try their best to help you through it.
We may have never met but even through the web you can still be the best of friends
I count you in that group and I thank you for showing your support when you could have just ignored what was going on
That shows what kind of person you really are and I'm honored to call you my friend!!!! Poem written by me kas'""

"You are a stranger to me, but an instrumental part of my being ... We have not met, and yet you and your experience and dedication to your beliefs have truly touched my soul. Originally out of a distant relationship where you would be a source of knowlege and protection for my most precious of gifts, my child, you emerge as someone I wish I knew so much better. Drastically you were removed from that position, yet have left so many questions burning within me.... It is my hope and my dream for you that you get from this life the things you seek..... and the peace you deserve. I am no one, and most certainly not an expert of anything.... but my heart tells me that you deserve to be heard.... Most sincerely.... a distant friend."

"His photography has been a wonderful documentary of his time there. His photos show so much richness and clarity from the history of the islands to the lives of the Marshallese people. His ability to capture life as it happens is outstanding. He shows that life is not the same everywhere. That though people may struggle, they can still thrive and live good lives. His friendship and support of the Marshallese community will have a long lasting and positive influence for a long time to come. He truly is a real friend to them. A lesson that others could learn by. I am so glad to call him one of my very good Flickr friends."

A dream of a many, reality for few. Put your money where your mouth is! And I am sure Island-Life did exactly this. Not only a creative photographer. In my opinion a true documentary of Life on the Marshall Islands. A magic place, and it is hard NOT to produce magnificent pictures of the scenery and its people. However, life is not only paradise!! You know this if you’ve seen a bit of the world. But actually capturing it on camera, and speaking out is another thing. This photostream does it all. For this…I can only thank the photographer."

"I hope you will continue to pursue your photography after leaving the islands. I don't think it matters who or what you photograph, it will always be quality material, and on the good days be accompanied by a great funny or educational story. You may not be a photographer by trade, but your passion and experience is evident in every shot. Keep it up."
