I travel the globe looking for work. At the moment I happen to be working and living in Afghanistan while remotely battling U.S. Army kwajalein Atoll (USAKA) and the evils of the Kwajalein Police Department who enable corrupt Marshallese Government leaders, Kings and Queens in their on going oppressive treatment of Marshallese citizens.
As of July 1, 2011, I'm actively seeking new employment anywhere in the world. Please use my flickr stream as my resume/CV. If interested, please contact me for a copy of my professional resume/CV via email. I'm currently working and living in Afghanistan since October of 2009.

The word "OPEN" to the right means to have an open mind! To me it means tolerance, acceptance and empathy. I am OPEN! I do not judge anyone! If you choose to come here and have a closed mind do not stay. LEAVE NOW AND DO NOT COME BACK, for I do not have time for ignorance, racism, discrimination and or closed minded people who think they know what is right for society based on personal morals they feel are superior to mine or others.

"Collage-Nikov2010@Flickr/CollageNikov@iwh844.com--I would
like to send my appreciation/admiration and support to Island_Life
@his site&to his Life!!! He has seen alot most haven't-been places most wouldn't go-and championed causes most are not informed
about!!! Here is a man, who could have given-up on Life-who could have taken the easy way out, the low road, the "I'm-a-victim-of-my-
terrible family/childhood/abuse/ad naseum, but who has stood-up
and fought the righteous, good&positive emphasis while keeping
his youthful questioning childhood curiousity in hope of improving
both his understanding and the plight of the forgotten children &
peoples along his path of Enlightenment. He is truly a scholar,
a true philosopher who lives his philosophy, adapts to the sad &
sometimes evil state of earthly existence, and has the Hope & the
huevos to actually get into the mess with the determination, the
insight, and the bravery that transcends any human expectations--
I, for one, will be proud to stand-up for this man, his goals, and
even to share his dreams, personal & for this forsaken landscape
we share/fight/live/kill/and exist upon...I hope he tries San Diego,
CA to visit, as I believe that spot has many of the resources he can
access and enjoy, as well--best of Luck always, & Keep in Touch
I would like to add a word about island life--REMARKABLE!-he really cares about the friends/family that visit his site, and his comments are helpful, reassuring, and professional, as well--thanks!"15th July, 2010

♥ Kimberly ♥ Slowly Working My Way To You :) says:
"Shy is an amazing man. Not only does he take some of the most beautiful pictures. But they almost always have a story behind them. He has a heart of gold and really cares about the people when he's sent to places to work. When he believes in something he will fight to the bitter end over it. One of the many things I admire in him. His is the 1st stream I ever went all the way through when I 1st started on Flickr.
I Love that you're not afraid to speak up when you see something's not right and people are being treated wrong. I believe if there was more like you the world would be a better place and maybe things could be changed. I'm honored to be your friend and glad I met you on here. Keep doing what you're doing I have faith in you as does others. May you be blessed with every step you take and someone will listen to you and finally change the wrong you have seen and fight for so passionately!!!! Xoxo
"Friends are angels that help us make it through life
They're always there when we need them no matter what the distance is between us.
For you don't need to be there in person to give you support and help
They know when something is wrong without you saying a word
They rejoice in your happiness when you've had the best day of your life
They hurt when you've had the worse and try their best to help you through it.
We may have never met but even through the web you can still be the best of friends
I count you in that group and I thank you for showing your support when you could have just ignored what was going on
That shows what kind of person you really are and I'm honored to call you my friend!!!! Poem written by me kas'""16th July, 2009

"You are a stranger to me, but an instrumental part of my being ... We have not met, and yet you and your experience and dedication to your beliefs have truly touched my soul. Originally out of a distant relationship where you would be a source of knowlege and protection for my most precious of gifts, my child, you emerge as someone I wish I knew so much better. Drastically you were removed from that position, yet have left so many questions burning within me.... It is my hope and my dream for you that you get from this life the things you seek..... and the peace you deserve. I am no one, and most certainly not an expert of anything.... but my heart tells me that you deserve to be heard.... Most sincerely.... a distant friend."

Canuck with a camera says:
"His photography has been a wonderful documentary of his time there. His photos show so much richness and clarity from the history of the islands to the lives of the Marshallese people. His ability to capture life as it happens is outstanding. He shows that life is not the same everywhere. That though people may struggle, they can still thrive and live good lives. His friendship and support of the Marshallese community will have a long lasting and positive influence for a long time to come. He truly is a real friend to them. A lesson that others could learn by. I am so glad to call him one of my very good Flickr friends."

"Travelling the globe for work….
A dream of a many, reality for few. Put your money where your mouth is! And I am sure Island-Life did exactly this. Not only a creative photographer. In my opinion a true documentary of Life on the Marshall Islands. A magic place, and it is hard NOT to produce magnificent pictures of the scenery and its people. However, life is not only paradise!! You know this if you’ve seen a bit of the world. But actually capturing it on camera, and speaking out is another thing. This photostream does it all. For this…I can only thank the photographer."30th January, 2008

"I hope you will continue to pursue your photography after leaving the islands. I don't think it matters who or what you photograph, it will always be quality material, and on the good days be accompanied by a great funny or educational story. You may not be a photographer by trade, but your passion and experience is evident in every shot. Keep it up."
