I am shibu battcharya, lived in a very remote village of Jamalpur Bangladesh and worked here facing the technological limitations. My job is really a tough here as I have to live with the natural and manmade calamities and the job is really thrilling; collecting news and photos to relevant topics of my area as I worked as a journalist in a national news and photo agency. I have to cast the news of the southern west areas of Jamuna and Brammaputra river. I worked with a cell phone and used cyber cafe for broadcasting my works, most recently I bought a Desktop and this makes my work easier but the ultimate problem is power !! I have a DSLR Nikon D60 and two old compact camera Nikon cool pix P1 and Rico caplo 1.My old friends never betrayed with me and I feel easy to work with them. My lens is Nikkor Ai 70-210 f3.5=4.5 Nikkor 35-70 f3.5=4.5 with a body of Nikon FM2 and a Mtz 3200 flash Recently Bey A Panasonic Lumix DMC- ZS 5 . I live in my village for last 8 years and what Dhaka city becomes doesn’t know….don’t know its color now whether it got more colorful or dull. Don’t think much about my past and future, present is my destiny and a lot of areas of my district are washing away with every wave of Jamuna and Brammaputra river..
