"Ed is one of the most talented photographers in flickr. He has an amazing eye on wide angles composition and an unique color treatment technique.
His project 365 is one of the most followed because of his fantastic variety in subjects, richness in its elements, colors and professionalism.
You're now a Legend Mr. McGowan."1st November, 2009

"What can you say about Ed that hasn’t been said already? He’s one of the most talented photographers you will ever come across. Not only is he great at snapping a photo, but he has mastered the art of processing a photo as well. He uses his skills to bring out the best detail that you may not have even picked up on before seeing it through his eyes. Not only that, but he’s generous, he has taken the time to even take on someone else’s photo and bring it to life! Ed has mastered many genres of photography; you really never know what’s to come next in his stream. You gotta love that! He’s creative, brilliant, and INSPIRING. It’s quite clear that he has a passion for his “new found” talent and will continue to blow our minds with his work for many years to come."

Michael Hunter says:
"I've been on Flickr for a couple of years now. In that time, I have seen some amazing and inspirational work from many talented professional and amateur photographers alike. However, Ed McGowan is something more.
Each day, Ed redefines what it is to be a photographer and an artist and how simple everyday objects, situations or even moods can be portrayed with passion, flair, creativity, humor and a technical skill far advanced than that of many full time industry professionals.
Ed was the first photographer I found on Flickr who consistently produces such varied images of this high a quality. I really want to emphasize the word "consistently". That's what I find so amazing about his photostream and why I look forward each day to something new and totally different.
He also has very good taste in cars."14th July, 2009

"Ed is quite simply one of those photographers that influences other photographers. I think of him as a Beethoven, Picasso, Columbus or heck even Oprah in the photography world because his work is so inventive it inspires & fuels so many others in field. (My self included) I have only known Ed for a short amount of time, but have found his work deeply influential. When I take photos, it is hard for me to not think, "How would Ed shoot this?" or when editing a photo "How would Ed make the colors pop, but in a natural way?"
Not only is he reinventing the way people see the world & go about taking photos, but he somehow manages with his busy family life & work schedule time to get to know other photographers & offer words of advice & praise.
This guy has truly impacted my photography journey thus far.
I just wanted to say thanks Ed. I appreciate all you have done!"5th April, 2009
