Irene Gherardotti nasce a Firenze in una famiglia dalle innate abilità manuali ed elevate capacità artistiche.
Oltre all'interesse costante per ogni manifestazione espressiva, Irene ha una propensione umanistica che le fa amare la letteratura contemporanea italiana e straniera, tra cui – in particolar modo – quella giapponese e mediorientale. La spontanea curiosità per “l'altro” la spinge a compiere sviariati viaggi all'estero e a interessarsi alle culture con cui, di volta in volta, entra in contatto.
Coerentemente con le proprie attitudini, consegue la laurea in Lingue e Letterature straniere presso l'Università degli Studi di Firenze.
Dopo aver sperimentato la pittura a olio e aver esposto nel 2002 in una collettiva fiorentina, oggi si dedica con passione alla fotografia.
Da alcuni anni svolge l'attività di addetta stampa per una nota casa editrice fiorentina.

Irene Gherardotti is born in Florence in a family with natural manual abilities and high artistic capabilities. Besides the constant interest for any kind of expressive demonstration, Irene has a humanistic propensity that makes her love Italian contemporary and foreigner literature, expecially Japanese and mediorientale ones.
The spontaneous curiosity for "the other" pushes her to travel to different countries and to be interested in those cultures she comes in contact with.
Coherently with her own attitudes, she graduates in foreign languages and literatures at the University of Florence.
After having experimented the oil painting and after a Florentine collective exhibition in 2002, she dedicates herself to photography with great passion.
Since some years she works as press agent in a famous Florentine publishing house.
