I am a freelance photographer. I am 29 and have been shooting since I was 18... I definitely took the road less traveled in life. I taught myself photography while traveling coast to coast- by car, foot, friends and experiences. I actually ended up living in Hawaii for 3 months and shooting all the time! It was quite the experience. Surfing, hiking and loving life! I came back to my hometown and began freelancing as an assistant and later as a photographer. Cincinnati is a heavily commercial community. After 8 years in the commercial industry I left for NYC to produce and manage Markus Klinko and Indrani, the drama induced photographers of the Bravo series Double Exposure. Upon hearing about the illness of my stepdad, the one who raised me, I returned home. After helping launch Hugo Boss's, e-commerce website, shooting for other fashion clients and a trusted business partnership gone bad, I became disillusioned by the commercial world of photography and exhausted by the requests of the demanding NYC fashion world. After my stepdad's death in October I suddenly had a new perspective. No longer do I wish to conquer the world or have a huge desire to leave some sort of legacy. The small things have now become the important things. Love, family, health and peace. It's funny how sometimes you have to go around 360 degrees only to end up where you started. The location is the same; it is you that is what's different. That is where I am now. Back at the beginning. I want to shoot what is important to me and to other people. This photo "Cincinnati; A New Perspective" is my first attempt to produce fine art photography. Not only does it represent my new perspective it also is the brand new skyline of Cincinnati. This shot is from a one of a kind angle and one of the first shots of The Great American Tower at Queen City Square which just opened on January 11, 2011.
