Ink & Masks: Doctor.Ink & Masks: Numbers.Ink & Masks: Death.Ink & Masks: Shaman.

My real name is Marie-Louise Plum. I am a contemporary folk artist and mask maker/illustrator.

I work mainly for myself, creating ugly/beautiful scary beasts and beauties such as illustrated masks, dolls, puppets and other 3D objects. I also do paper work and editorial stuff, some of it for V&A Museum London, Free for Charity, Yuck'n'Yum, Sandy Christie and Modofly.

My work and living space is a claustrophobic emporium of old, new, saccharine sickly, mental Americana and starch pressed sombre Victorian lace. Broken toys, clockwork animals, various antlers, a bed of nails, plastinated butterflies, mourning attire and candy-coated American memorabilia are just some of the things that keep me company at night.

My first solo tour will kick off in Summer 2010.
