We are 13 architecture graduate students from Parsons school of design, part of the The New School University, New York City, working on a design/build project in coastal Mississippi Spring/Summer 2006. The building will be a laundromat and information center for the nearby town of Pass Christian, which was completely devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

We get up before dawn, work hard all day, then grill and drink beer at our RVs near the work site. It is a pretty good way to spend a summer vacation.

PS. We got a great article in the New York Times with one photo by me of a column raising and another with the grass sod installed from SHoP architects,

select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F10616FC3A5B0C75...

and a several page spread in Architect (formerly Architecture) magazine with photos by me and article by Dominique G.
